This highly sought-after award is a welcome acknowledgement of Shottesbrooke’s ongoing success, and is described by Presidents Medal Award Judge, Ed Halmagyi, as being “an award that advances the concept of quality beyond taste, setting new standards in best practice for environmental, social and economical management”.

Shottesbrooke's 2020 Single Vineyard Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is set to be released later in 2022. Keep an eye out on the Shottesbrooke social media pages for updates on when this stunning award-winning wine will be released for tasting and purchases.

McLaren Vale Cellar Door Tree Trail

There are many reasons why we need trees, the biggest plants on our planet.

To celebrate trees and their importance within our region and the wine industry, we are a part of the unique McLaren Vale Cellar Door Tree Trail. Along the trail you’ll find interesting information on a variety of trees as well as things for the kids to do.

At Shottesbrooke, we have 5 tagged trees on our estate which our friendly staff are able to point out to you. You can sip away a wine tasting under our tagged Mulberry Tree or have a picnic between our 2 biggest tagged indigenous Red Gums.

BIG news on our yet-to-be-released 2020 Single Vineyard Chardonnay

Today the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW announced that our 2020 Single Vineyard Chardonnay has been chosen as one of six outstanding finalists of the 15th Annual President’s Medal. Going beyond product taste, the President’s Medal, which began in 2006, explores the overall production cycle of each business, including the commercial success, environmental footprint, and social impact, making it the first and only award in Australia to judge producers against a triple bottom line.

Having been previously announced as a finalist in the 2019 Presidents Medal with our 2017 Single Vineyard Chardonnay, our 2020 Chardonnay was awarded the Best Single Vineyard Wine in Show with the Len Evan’s Perpetual Trophy at the Royal Sydney Wine Show back in 2021.

We are thrilled to see two vintages of our Single Vineyard Chardonnay make it to the finalist stage of the prestigious Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Annual Presidents Medal Awards. We congratulate the other 5 exceptional finalists, and look forward to meeting them all at the awards dinner in April.
