Adelaide Hills Chardonnay from McLaren Vale Winery Ranks Top 10
Shottesbrooke's newly released 2017 Single Vineyard 'Adelaide Hills' Chardonnay has taken out 5th spot from a field of over 1,200 of South Australia's most premium wines at the recently announced Adelaide Review Hot 100 SA Wines awards.
This competition, which recognises SA's best 100 wines across a number of hotly contested major categories, has seen Shottesbrooke wines feature five times in recent years.
Shottesbrooke Single Vineyard Chardonnay Shines in Sydney
Renowned for its delicate reds and elegant whites, the Adelaide Hills has once again shown that the spoils of its rolling vineyards rank firmly amongst the best in the country.
From a field of high-calibre entries, our 2017 Shottesbrooke Single Vineyard Series ‘Adelaide Hills’ Chardonnay, has collected two coveted trophies at the prestigious KPMG Sydney Royal Wine Show. The wine impressively took out both the ‘AP John Coopers Perennial Trophy for Best Chardonnay’ and the highly sought after ‘Albert Chan Memorial Prize for Best White’ of show.
The recognition received for this wine sees a culmination of the success it has already achieved across the wine show circuit in recent months, where it had also amassed gold medals at the Royal Melbourne Wine Awards, Adelaide Hills Wine Show and Mundus Vini wine competitions.
McLaren Vale Winery Australia's Best on World Stage
With almost 40 years under its winemaking belt, McLaren Vale winery, Shottesbrooke Vineyards, is honoured to announce that it has been awarded the highly esteemed title of ‘Best Producer - Australia’ at the recently judged Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Awards based in Germany.
In addition to this, Shottesbrooke has - for a second time - taken out the award for ‘Best of Show, Australian Red’. Previously awarded for their Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, this time a wine from their flagship range, the soon-to-be-released 2018 Reserve Series ‘Punch’ Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded the top prize.

International Trophy Highlights Winemaking Philosophy
Shottesbrooke is extremely proud to announce that it has picked up a trophy at the prestigious Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition, with the results announced at a black-tie awards ceremony and gala dinner held on the 9th of November. From a field of over 2,000 entries that spanned 33 countries, our popular 2015 Shottesbrooke Estate Series GSM took out one of the coveted Food & Wine Pairing trophies, reinforcing our longstanding philosophy of producing easy-drinking, approachable wines with style and elegance.
Shottesbrooke Chardonnay Plays with Australia's Best
We have been delighted to receive an excellent score from the recently judged James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge. Our soon-to-be-released 2016 Single Vineyard Series Adelaide Hills Chardonnay was awarded an outstanding 95 points in the highly respected competition. With this result, it placed equal third from a field of 74 Adelaide Hills wines, and also fell within the top 32 across all regions, from a total of 535 contenders.
